Day 1

Early Morning Flight

You will depart early this morning for your flight to Baltimore

Morning Arrival 

Welcome to Baltimore! We will grab our bags and head out to meet our coach and driver for the trip.  

10:30 AM National Zoological Park         

The National Zoological Park has an animal population that totals nearly 3,000 specimens and is housed in 163-acres within picturesque Rock Creek Park.  Visit Amazonia, a re-created microcosm of the world's largest rainforest. Enjoy an included lunch while at the Zoo.

3:30 PM National Museum of American History           

Browse through the new state-of-the-art gallery that offers a spectacular view of the Star Spangled Banner, and view the exhibits that top the list of must-sees for any visitor with a taste for true Americana.  See the First Ladies’ inaugural gowns, quilts, cars, locomotives and much, much more.

6:15 PM Dinner            

Enjoy dinner this evening at Chevy’s Fresh Mex located in the Ballston Mall.  Your meal begins with Chips and Salsa.  Enjoy a Fajita Buffet to include – steak and chicken fajita meat on top of San Antonio vegetables, house beans, Mexican rice and homemade fresh flour tortillas.  Toppings, dessert and soft drinks are included.

Day 2

Morning Tour of The White House 

Take a VIP tour of The White House. “The President’s Palace,” as it was called in the beginning, has been the official home of every U.S. President except George Washington. 

Stop for a photo opportunity of Lafayette Park. Later, arrive at Garfield Statue at the West Front of Capitol Hill. 

12:00 PM The United States Capitol 

The most recognized symbol of democratic government in the world, the U.S. Capitol has housed Congress since 1800 and is one of the most imposing public buildings in the world.  The Capitol is where Congress meets to write the laws of our nation, and where presidents are inaugurated. Its ceilings are decorated with historic images, and its halls are lined with statuary and paintings representing great events and people in the nation’s history.

1:45 PM Lunch

Enjoy lunch at the Hard Rock Café  

3:00 PM United States Holocaust Memorial Museum              

Tour the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This somber and moving museum tells the story of the Holocaust through artifacts, films, photographs and oral histories.  The museum’s primary mission is to inform Americans about the Holocaust, to remember those who suffered, and to inspire visitors to contemplate the moral implications of their choices and responsibilities as citizens in an interdependent world. 

5:30 PM Dinner            

Enjoy dinner at the Reagan Building/International Trade Center – One of Washington’s newest conference and event facilities, the Reagan Building has over 55,000 square feet of architecturally majestic space, and features an amphitheater, an 11,500 square foot exhibit hall, reception areas and meeting rooms. Advanced telecommunications services make it the complete electronic meeting place. An impressive array of food vendors is located in the building as well. 

6:30 PM Monument Tour

Washington’s grand buildings, memorials, and monuments sparkle and are impressive during the day; but in the evenings they are illuminated, soft focusing the solid stones and bronzes; fountains and water features shimmer in reflection; shadows darken highlighting the floodlit detail. Impressive during the day—stunning at night!

Day 3

8:15 AM Arlington National Cemetery

Arrive at the Visitor’s Center of Arlington National Cemetery. No land in America is more sacred than this square mile. It is America’s shrine to valor and sacrifice. This is the final resting place for President John F. Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Robert F. Kennedy, Edward Moore (Ted) Kennedy, Audie Murphy, prizefighter Joe Louis, and thousands of soldiers from every major U.S. war.

10:30 AM Ford's Theatre Petersen House and the Center for Education and Leadership.          

Visit Ford's Theatre Petersen House and the Center for Education and Leadership. Restored as it was the night John Wilkes Booth shot President Abraham Lincoln, Ford's is still an active theater. Reopened in 1968, Ford’s Theatre is one of the most visited sites in Washington DC. After, we’ll head to the Center for Education and Leadership. The story of the Abraham Lincoln assassination continues in the Aftermath and Legacies galleries of the new Center. Visitors can see the route of Lincoln’s funeral train, learn which president wore a ring containing a lock of Lincoln’s hair, explore Lincoln’s international influence, examine how Lincoln’s image has been adopted for use in pop culture and much more.

12:30 PM Lunch 

Enjoy lunch via voucher at Union Station today.

1:30 PM Museum of Natural History

We’ll spend the afternoon at the Museum of Natural History exploring the various exhibits they have available.

3:00 PM National Air & Space Museum

Visit the National Air & Space Museum. Experience the history of flight at one of the world’s most visited museum, from the plane flown by the Wright brothers to the Apollo 11 command module.  Features an incredible collection of aviation and space technology treasures.
